Landscaping has been, well, let's face it, a little rough around the edges. Cold, even. Heavy equipment and crushed rock have flattened nearly everything. Concrete has been the centrepiece. And while the straight lines and pre-formed blocks certainly have their appeal, hasn't the pendulum swung a bit too far?
We like green over grey.
We design, install and maintain everything that grows on your property. We make all kinds of spaces -- terraces, patios, balconies and estates -- alive and dignified.
Why Lake City “Landscaping”
Lake City Landscaping is about much more than gardening.
- We design, install and maintain unique perennial gardens using native species
- We plant ornamental and food species that thrive in Sudbury
- We manicure trees and hedges expertly
- We restore lawns using organic practices
Our Services
Perennials are just the start of our gardening. We also plan, plant and maintain organic vegetable gardens. And if you are worried about keeping up with watering, we can install an irrigation system to make sure your plants are never thirsty. Finally, we craft handsome wooden flower boxes and raised garden beds out of rough cut lumber milled in the Sudbury area.
Greenhousing is our specialty. Whether you want to do your own starts, grow more food, or simply extend your growing season, we install and maintain greenhouses (with or without irrigation) all over Sudbury.
Do you have a stubborn section of grass that just won't behave? This can be due to many factors including a poor selection of turfgrass species for the conditions, compaction, poor nutrients and/or low biodiversity. For troubled sections of lawns which are 500 sq feet or less, we diagnose problems and provide amendments that get to the heart of the problem, so your whole lawn can look great again.
We handle trees beautifully. Our expert tree surgeon brings over forty years' experience to tree installation, pruning and, if necessary tree removal.
Our lead designer, Stephanie Gagnon, takes a limited number of landscape design clients each year. If you wish to bring your already hardscaped backyard to life or if you want to put nature at the centre of your backyard project, contact us to inquire about our wait list.

Stephanie, our lead designer, has always lived in two worlds. She is an administrative wizard and a gifted musician and visual artist. Stephanie has completed her Horticulture Diploma at the University of Guelph.
